🌷Hi I'm Iris! I look for solutions to combat disparities and inequities in my community. I do this by educating, resource sharing, and supporting those I work with via my networks and experiences so that we may achieve our goals together! Specifically, I'm interested in how design may perpetuate existing inequalities and how we can narrow gaps to increase accessibility. I understand that many disparities are perpetuated by existing systems and designs in our society, and I find joy in seeking solutions to improve the lives of those in need. Effective user research and thoughtful design implementation can lead to meaningful change.🩻Currently, I'm involved in user research through the implementation of medical devices in identifying and expediting diagnosis and disease identification in the world of virtual care. Patients deserve quality care and creating solutions like this allows all members in our community to feel supported. Tangible projects like this align with my values and I actively seek out other opportunities to take on new challenges, building my toolset. In my free time you can find me doodling stickers, prints, and apparel designs for my small business! I also love gaming and have spending sometime playing cozy games like Overcooked.
