Computational Biology Lab Research Assistant
Current- Worked under Professor Anna Ritz in her computational biology lab to further develop ProteinWeaver, a website developed in the Ritz lab that visualizes and predicts protein-protein interactions (PPIs) of multiple animal species through Neo4j- Discussed findings and research in meetings within and outside of lab- Participated in meeting to discuss information found in relevant scientific research papers in bioinformatics and programming for project ideas- Learned to work with multiple programming languages including Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS- Learned to utilize software platforms including GitHub, Docker, Neo4j- Developed UI improvements to ProteinWeaver through custom interactable icons to effectively display Neo4j graph data- Collaborated and communicated with fellow lab researchers for development of ProteinWeaver and Signaling Pathway Reconstruction Analysis Streamliner (SPRAS)
