About Iris Kirchner
Hi, my name is Iris and i love to create. I have a solid foundation of experience in graphic design and visual communication in a variety of different medias and contexts. I always work full hearted and with a strong concept in mind.I started out my design career, when i was 20 years old. After my first education, i worked one year in an advertisement agency to get some practice. After that i decided to study again at the university of applied sciences in Graz to get my Bachelor in Information Design. Right after i moved to Basel in Switzerland for two years to make my Masters Degree in Visual Communication and Iconic Research at the Basel School of Design in 2011. In this two years i was diving deeper into the field of type design, typography and iconic research, which i am still very passionate about. After finishing my Masters I went back to Graz and worked on a variety of design projects in and for companies, clients and institutes - several years also as a freelance designer. I even had the chance to work with a film company working in the field of Virtual Reality.Since March 2019 i am happy to work as an Art Director in an design agency based in Graz, which focuses on UI/UX Design and Digital Brand Creation.
