With the films and series she produces she wants to contribute to an open and optimistic society, where we have an eye for each other.To reach and inspire new generations by telling encouraging and heartening stories about our joys and sorrows. While advocating for sustainability.This Cinekid a new family series Hein (of the team of Rudy’s crazy Christmas show) premiered and will be broadcasted from November 10th 2024 at NPO/zapp. Meanwhile the post production of A Family, the new feature of Mees Peijnenburg, starring Carice van Houten, is in full swing. Iris graduated as a producer at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in 2001. Her graduation film Alfred's Maassen’s Last Day was selected for Cinéfondation, Cannes. After working for several different production companies, she became partner at Pupkin in 2009.Over the years, she has built an impressive track record in producing artistic (cross over) feature films and authentic family content. Amongst others, the multiple Golden Calves winning films Aanmodderfakker (Michiel ten Horn & Anne Barnhoorn) and Geen Koningen in ons bloed (Mees Peijnenburg & Bastiaan Kroeger); the Emmy nominated productions Boys (Mischa Kamp, Jaap Peter Enderle & Chris Westendorp) and Penguins and Pastry (Tallulah H. Schwab & Lineke van de Boezem); and the Tiger Competition selected debut features Quality Time (Daan Bakker) and Take me somewhere nice (Ena Sendijarevic). In 2019 the family series Seven Little Criminals (Rob Lucker, Jaap Peter Enderle & Chris Westerndorp) received the Golden Calf for Best Series. In 2020 the debut feature film Paradise Drifters (Mees Peijnenburg) premiered at the IFFR Berlinale. In January 2023 the family series Lampie was broadcasted by the VPRO, based on the award winning book of Annet Schaap, directed by Margien Rogaar and written by Mieke de Jong. Lampie won best series at Cinekid, the DDG award for best directing, the Zilveren Krulstaart for best script and was nominated for the Golden Calf for Best Series at NFF 2023. Jippie No More! was the opening film of Cinekid 2023 and was awarded as well with the children’s jury Lion and the audience award.
