I’m a Los Angeles-bred serial entrepreneur with a fierce bias for action and a deep desire to make a positive impact on the world.My early years of community volunteering, teaching at-risk youth in New Jersey, and later teaching children in a German military base during the Afghanistan war taught me a lot about life’s injustices. These experiences deepened my compassion for humanity, which fuels everything I do. Early in my career, I co-founded the non-profit DoGoodLab.org on the premise that the people best equipped to solve problems in a community are the ones who live there. We raised funds to build schools and public sanitation facilities, buy waste trucks for sanitation projects and purchase school buses for 8 different community organizations around the world.As a trailblazer in the payments technology sector, I've often found myself breaking barriers as the only woman or woman of color in the room. This has fueled my passion for diversity and inclusion, and my commitment to mentoring and championing others like me.After my family and I moved from the U.S. to Singapore, I co-founded Monument Lifestyle, a café-in-a-boutique concept that supports local craftspeople and US-based artisans entering the Asian market. I later launched Duxton, a premium brand that produces locally made, timeless, inclusive clothing for everyone. I’m a chameleon who has lived many lives across continents, countries and industries but my true expertise lies in understanding and connecting with people and building high-quality solutions that help solve their problems profitably. When I need to decompress, I find my zen performing Japanese tea ceremonies - because, who doesn't love a good cup of tea with a side of peace and quiet?These days, when I’m not busy taking my daughter to casting calls, I'm open to new ideas and connections.
