This company manufactures medical supplies. From the selection of suppliers to the import of raw materials, everything needs to be strictly controlled. I mainly used ERP system management; many raw materials were imported from Europe. My key duties involved purchasing all raw materials required of the company and building relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Communicate and assist between R&D departments and suppliers in product-related testing. I also needed to know the relevant information about the raw materials and check if they meet FDA certificate requirements. At the end of every month I needed to make accounts receivable to accountants.

This was my first time in the UK on a 2 year working holiday visa. Here I tried a different job type, mainly making drinks and serving customers. I eventually became the store person in charge, I had to face many different customers and emergencies. I needed to control whether the ingredient was sufficient and report to the manager places an order for the required ingredient every week.

Long Chang is a blower manufacturer, I was mainly responsible for all of materials required of the company. I mainly used ERP system management, built relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, I had to liaise with both marketing and merchandise teams to ensure adequate material inventory, at the end of every month I needed to make accounts receivable to accountants. I also needed to check stock levels and stock dates regularly, ensure all relevant stock information on the system is up to date and accurate, manage stock of material and samples to ensure they went into the correct orders and rotated/located correctly within the warehouse.
