I am a committed educator, passionate about fostering social change and empowering students through education. I have 7 years experience in higher education, and a combined total of 18 years working in the field of education at all levels, from kindergarten to middle school and college. Working with college students provides a unique opportunity to tap into their energy and drive while building a partnership that provides a framework for lasting student success.I've successfully managed a State Department grant program the last 6 years at a community college and honed my expertise working directly with international and domestic students by promoting their skills and encouraging leadership and professional development. I'm competent in program development and coordination, assessment, community building, student leadership and cross-cultural exchange. I have personally lived in 3 countries (Belize, England, and Nepal) and traveled to over 38, volunteering and exploring along the way.I believe our world is a richer place because of our differences and that in order to promote tolerance and understanding, we need to connect people from varied backgrounds and cultures through diplomacy, reflection, community, and education.
