VIVA is a women-owned, social-impact consulting firm that partners with public agencies, funders, and nonprofits across the country to create systems-level change in their communities. VIVA's expertise includes systems-building, multi-sector partnerships, collective impact initiatives, and high-impact communications. Through agile project management, effective meeting design and facilitation, an equity lens, and strategic consultation I help to advance several multi-partner, system change initiatives, including philanthropic funder collaboratives. My project portfolio has included: strategic planning, governance structures, sustainability planning, cost estimation modeling for systems, system design and coordination, in-person & virtual facilitation, implementation planning, capacity building, qualitative research (focus groups, interviews, landscape scans), needs assessment, asset mapping, survey design, and report writing.

I managed the Mentorship and Scholarship programs for 80+ first-generation, students of color in their journey to graduate college and change the trajectory for their families. I provided scholarship support and individualized outreach to ensure students were meeting academic goals and finding resources they needed to navigate higher education and define their post-graduation career goals. My work also included recruiting and training volunteer mentors to be effective supports for each student on their academic path.

The Hidden Genius Project trains and mentors Black male youth in technology creation, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills to transform their lives and communities. At The Hidden Genius Project, I... -Provided ongoing weekly support to Hidden Genius youth participants with academic and vocational concerns, such as locating scholarships and improving study habits. Modified an existing empowerment curriculum for male youth of color and implemented a 12-week curriculum for a group of high school males. -Supported the Board of Directors in developing a plan for recruitment and ongoing board development. -Supported the Development Director with grant proposal writing and locating new funding sources, including 2 grants awarded at $515,000.-Conducted a program needs assessment through student and staff interviews, key informants, and a comprehensive literature review. -Established a partnership with the University of Southern California School of Social Work for MSW student intern recruitment and developed the MSW internship program structure.-Solicited and successfully acquired an in-kind donation of laptop computers from a local technology company for the summer program.

Mindblown Labs is an education technology social enterprise that creates highly-interactive, game-based, experiential learning tools to empower young people with financial capability skills. At Mindblown Labs, I had the opportunity to: -Develop both online evaluation tools and in-person observational tools (face to face and filmed interviews) to collect data for pilot classrooms across the U.S. and locally-Collect and analyze demographic, qualitative, and gameplay data from both students and teachers. -Create content for the educator user guide, best practices, and five lesson plans on financial literacy concepts, which are distributed to teachers participating in the pilot program. -Provide ongoing teacher support and fostered engagement with educators participating in pilot program. -Research and create a database of potential funding sources.

As the Volunteer Program Coordinator I ran the program of over 50+ volunteer Sexual Assault Counselors, and managed the 24/hour crisis hotline and advocacy and accompaniment work for survivors of sexual assault, ensuring children, youth, adults, and families received trauma-informed advocacy and support. I also served as a trauma counselor providing short-term crisis-counseling for survivors. I also collaborated with the San Mateo County Multi-Disciplinary Interview Team on the handling of child sexual assault cases.
