Dedicated to my profession for 22 glorious years has been a joyous experience day after day. As a life-long learner of new and relevant information; excited about learning and achieving, I am proud to be apart of such an outstanding Professional Learning Network. My wide range of experience in working with so many different age groups, abilities, and backgrounds has molded me into a solid leader, relationship builder, and proven visionary. Currently enrolled in the Doctorate Program at Texas A&M University - Commerce majoring in Educational Leadership and just recently securing my superintendent certification, is my current higher learning status. As a direct result, invaluable lessons have been learned and internalized concerning: instructional leadership, finance, research methods, and how to successfully manage organizations. All of this current information and knowledge is very useful in assisting me in furthering my career to obtain a leadership position. Sharing best teaching practices and making data-driven decisions are the best ways to achieve student success on any given campus and in any given district. It is a realization that students need an instructional leader who is a proven achiever and who is obviously committed to excellence. Teachers require a visionary who is self-motivated, determined, creative, and excited about taking on new challenges and has the talents and skills to turn the dream into reality. Parents deserve a campus leader who is competent, patient, responsible, and fair. I have the needed experience, energy, attributes, and focus required to be the instructional leader in any district.
