My UCSB coursework in Optics, Quantum Mechanics, and Electromagnetism, paired with independent lab research, has provided a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of my field.Most recently, I spent five months in Osaka, Japan, working with Prof. Shinsuke Fujioka at The Institute of Laser Engineering. As a full-time student researcher I gained invaluable experience in inertial confinement fusion experiments, focusing on the analysis of electromagnetic fields and proton radiography simulations.
