I am passionate about writing about science, climate justice, and amplifying the voices of people and movements making our world a better place. I have a master's degree in science writing and journalism from MIT, where I learned how to communicate complex scientific concepts and issues to diverse audiences.As the climate justice senior editor at Nonprofit Quarterly, I curate, edit, write, and produce content that covers the impacts and solutions of climate change on marginalized communities. I also leverage my background in grassroots organizing to build relationships with leading thinkers, makers, and funders in the climate justice space. Some of my recent achievements include:Leading the communication strategy of a California-based clean energy campaign that increased visibility and reach through creative content and narrative development.Writing features and news articles for publications like MIT News, Eos Magazine, Yes! Magazine, and more, that explore the intersections of climate justice, arts and culture, and racial justice efforts.Facilitating creative programming for a youth sea level rise delegation to Iceland that compared and studied the effects of sea level rise in the Gulf States and the Arctic.My key skills include journalism, editing, CMS, social media, media operations, community organizing, graphic design, science communication, and research.
