Forms and shapes are very important for Van Gelder, since they are the key elements of her distinctive vocabulary, a sort of puzzle pieces that the artist puts together in order to create her impressive compositions. Her elaborate collages open a gate to a fantasy world, paying homage to the awe-inspiring aesthetic of fashion and the way it transforms everything it touches.Van Gelder has always been a big fashion enthusiast, constantly in search of the most hard-to-find vintage pieces, and, although one of her most cherished hobbies is street style photography, what she really loves is being a collage artist. “I love making collages. In het innovatieprogramma van Kennisnet onderzoeken we de relevantie, haalbaarheid en toepasbaarheid van nieuwe ict-technologieën voor het onderwijs. Dit doen we niet alleen. Samen met een groep van 42 mensen uit de samenleving geven we vorm aan de innovatieagenda van Kennisnet.

In het project ’21 learners – 21 jongeren over 21st century skills’ werkt stichting Kennisnet in co-creatie samen met 21 jongeren met als doel meer aandacht te vragen voor de zogenaamde ’21st century skills’ als creativiteit, samenwerken en ict-geletterdheid in het onderwijs.

Voor het CKC Zoetermeer heb ik de workshops Poster maken en Maak je eigen Journaal bedacht en uitgewerkt.Voor SONOR heb ik het project ONZE RAMADAN en ONS LEVEN opgezet en uitgevoerd. Hier heb ik jongeren begeleid in het maken van een documentaire over hoe zij de Ramadan vieren en hoe zij leven in hun buurt het 'Oude Westen' (Rotterdam).

Bij het Belasting en Douane museum werkte ik als museumdocent en heb ik verschillende workshops ontwikkeld, zoals Gesnapt waarbij scholieren gebruik maken van social media om de spannende Douane verhalen te vertellen.
