I am passionate about building cohesive teams and creating lasting social impact. I’ll figure it out: I enjoy challenges, particularly the sort that force me to learn new things. I successfully earned a place within 8 months as the project manager on a multi-stakeholder, multi-million-dollar construction project having started out without any technical knowledge as a records keeper.I’ll make it work: Successfully leading a non-profit organization whose programs are community-centered demands skillful communications, strategic management, and the ability to build trust. I’ll uplift my team: Ensuring that the people I work with are validated, empowered, encouraged, and successful, frames my approach. After graduating with Honors from Hampton University, Virginia-USA, I began my career in mortgages, providing guidance on one of the most significant financial transactions that some people make in their lifetime. I discovered the value of analytics and relationship-building during this time. I relocated to Ghana, seeking to make a deeper impact, and spent a couple of years leading operations at an advertising firm, before accepting the unexpected opportunity to work on a construction project. Here, I discovered a passion for finding solutions; and engaging with a vast stakeholder pool in a multicultural context, crystalizing my affinity for building successful teams. I seek to identify and apply simple sustainable solutions to bring about long-term social impact.
