Current•Reviews employee accommodations through the Accommodation Review Committee (ARC).•Develop and implement ADA and Disability Awareness Training programs including materials used throughout the organization to instruct front-line, support, managerial and leadership personnel regarding why and how the CTA accommodates both staff and customers with varied disabilities•Facilitate CTA’s ADA Advisory Committee, seeking new members, developing materials for quarterly meetings, coordinate CTA staff and committee communication, and have ongoing communication with committee members.•Member of CTA’s review team for ongoing construction projects as related to compliance with disability laws and regulations.•Promote strong cooperative relationships with such public organizations as the Chicago Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Diverse Learner Supports & Services (CPS/ODLSS) and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) through ongoing participation in relevant meetings, as well as direct support (on-site information table, instruction bus, etc.) for a variety of events throughout the year. •Provide both in-class and hands-on instruction to CPS/ODLSS Travel Trainers to ensure understanding of CTA’s policies and practices in accommodating people with disabilities including wheelchair securement procedures. •Ongoing support to CTA’s Customer Service Department regarding inquiries or complaints from customers with disabilities as they relate to CTA policies or customer experiences
