Design and deliver tailor-made trainings to programme staff and officials of government officials in conflict affected countries. Training topics so far include DDR, socio-economic reintegration, conflict analyses, conflict sensitivity, risk management, capacity development etc. • Course director, designer and lead trainer of the international Community Based Reintegration and Security (CBRS) specialised training course for practitioners. This international course is organised by Transition International in collaboration with the Barcelona International Peace Resource Centre (Transition International, BIPRC).• Course director, designer and lead trainer of the international ‘Reintegration of Ex-Combatants: Advanced Training course’ (level 5): This international course is organised by Transition International in collaboration with the Barcelona International Peace Resource Centre (Transition International/BIPRC).• Course director, designer and lead trainer of the international ‘Mid-level Reintegration Course for Practitioners’. This international course is organised by Transition International in collaboration with the Barcelona International Peace Resource Centre (Transition International, BIPRC).• Delivery of the core modules on socio-economic reintegration for the senior/middle-management course on Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (Folke Bernadotte Academy, Sweden).• Delivery of Master classes on Gender in Conflict. (University of Utrecht Conflict Studies, Netherlands).• Training on introduction to DDR, in the Staff Officers Course Africa (SOCA). (Netherlands Defence College).• Delivery of training sessions in several courses including on, Local Economic and Social Development (LESD), LED in Conflict, Gender in Conflict and Peacebuilding, Community Based Reintegration, Community Driven Development, and Social Cohesion. (The Hague Academy for Local Governance).

• Provided policy advice, programme formulation, institution building, tools development and applied research with the aim of reducing vulnerability of crisis-affected groups and communities. • Designed, monitored, evaluated, and provided training on Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR), including a global research programme on child soldiers. • Developed and implemented training programmes for national actors in conflict-affected countries throughout the world. • Served as focal point for small arms issues and as crisis focal point for Africa and for gender. • Designed and implemented training strategy for UN staff to increase rapid response capacity. • Contributed to reintegration efforts in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Great Lakes, Columbia, Liberia and Sierra Leone trough training, strategy development, and feasibility studies.• Supervised projects and staff (project managers in the field and junior professionals and interns at ILO HQ) and mobilised resources for technical cooperation projects.• Participated in joint UN assessment missions and programme development. • Seconded to UNHCR to revise the Repatriation, Reintegration, Self-reliance and Quick-Impact Manuals.

• Jointly designed and started a new ILO department on crisis response and reconstruction. • Trained national and international staff and consultants on conflict issues, specifically child soldiers. • Conducted research on cultural responses to armed conflict and child soldiers and supervised consultants on these issues. • Provided policy advice for missions to DRC, Sierra Leone, Burundi, Albania, and Kosovo.• Designed and supported ongoing technical cooperation projects, facilitated team building, and recruited project staff.

• Assisted in formulating country objectives for North-West African countries affected by conflict, as member of the North-West Africa Multi disciplinary Advisory Team (MDT EMANO). • Designed, monitored and evaluated vocational training and employment promotion projects.• Adapted training manual for entrepreneurs to the Liberian context.• Conducted research on the role of social and cultural factors in community development.• Provided assistance and policy advice to governments in designing reintegration programmes.• Developed training tools and delivery of (military and civil) staff training.

• Planned, produced and organised inter-cultural music and theatre festivals, exhibitions, cultural manifestations and conferences.
