Hi there, I’m Irum! 👋🏼I work for Walgreens as a Category Insights Analyst, which means I leverage syndicated market/customer data to influence retail strategy on a categorical level. In simpler terms, that means I look at how the market and customer needs are changing to decide what brands/products should go on our shelves. I sit on the Customer Loyalty and Insights team, which runs the world’s largest customer loyalty program!My longer term goal is to be an innovation brand manager for a retail/skincare/beauty company. I have always been a beauty junkie and I dream of leading the end to end process of bringing new innovative products to market- from research-backed ingredient selection to fun packaging selection to exciting experiential launches. My past work experiences include digital consulting at PwC where I worked on launching innovative products and internship experiences in corporate venture capital (Volvo), product marketing (Intel) and digital and content marketing (EvolveHer).I graduated from the undergraduate business program at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver) with a concentration in entrepreneurship. I am driven by adaptation, a growth-oriented mindset and authenticity. I lived in Canada as an American for five years to immerse myself in a new environment and have a strong interest in working in global markets. In my free time, you can find me traveling (26 countries and scheming my next trip), volunteering, at the gym, counteracting that by being on a never ending quest to perfect my chocolate chip cookie recipe, and being out in nature!
