A veteran of the BC concrete industry for over 35 years, I began my career as a placer/finisher with Rainbow Concrete Ltd., in Langley, BC in 1981. I eventually purchased the company, and ran it for four years, before selling it and beginning a two-decade-long career with Rempel Bros. Concrete Ltd. in 1987. I put my placing experience to work at Rempel, as an operator for their concrete pumping division, Challenge, and eventually managed that division for five years before moving into residential concrete sales, where I honed my sales and customer relation skills. In 2003, I was promoted to Commercial Sales Supervisor, and continued to be a part of many landmark concrete projects, including the construction of the Golden Ears Bridge in Maple Ridge, BC, which has been the biggest project of my career to date.In 2007, my interest in commercial construction led me to a sales position with Eagle West Truck and Crane, but I have concrete in my blood, and I came back to the industry as the Sales Manager in Metro Vancouver for BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. in 2009, a position that I hold currently.A committed volunteer, I have participated on both technical and promotion committees for BC’s concrete industry, including the “Concrete Home in the Dome” show home, and was the 2003 recipient of the BC Ready-Mixed Concrete Association’s (BCRMCA) Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry. I am the current Chairman of the Board for the BC Ready-Mixed Concrete Association.An avid outdoorsman, my hobbies range from snowmobiling and salmon fishing to gardening and slow pitch baseball. I live in Langley with my wife of 29 years, Connie, and our two children.
