The GEF project “Mainstreaming Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use into Inland Fisheries Practices in Freshwater Ecosystem of High Conservation Value (I-Fish) is to support the Government of Indonesia, particularly the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) Republic of Indonesia to address the main threats of its inland aquatic biodiversity and to remove the main barriers to conservation and sustainable use of its inland waters.The expert will focus to support the National Expert for Integrated Inland Fisheries Geographics Information System (IIFGIS) and work closely with Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and the National Bureau of Statistics staff in charge of freshwaters statistics through performing the following task:• Establish the model for data management for Inland Fisheries Management and its data requirement for IIFGIS based on international standard;• Establish data management system of Integrated Inland Fisheries Geographic Information System (IIFGIS) in consultation with the relevant parties of the Ministry;• Develop the module of capacity building for staff and relevant officers for data management for Inland Fisheries in consultation with relevant human capacity building expert of Inland Fisheries;• Conduct capacity development for ministry’s staff and relevant parties on the data management of inland fisheries.• Oversee the running of the IIFGIS and adapt as necessary to the system;• Validate data input to data management of IIFGIS system;• Provide regular updates data on targeted species of the project;• Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation;• Prepare and submit technical reports on all the major technical assignments;• Prepare and submit field mission reports and monthly work progress reports to PMU;• Prepare and submit the end of assignment report.
