eBusiness Hosting Center Network Team (Nov. 2004 - June 2007)• Responsibilities include installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment. Including Cisco switches, routers, PIX firewalls and CSS load balancers running different levels of Cat OS and IOS code. Other systems include Nokia/Checkpoint firewalls, Alteon load balancers and Blade Center Ethernet Switching Modules.• Account Network Focal. Worked with architects and subject matter experts to improve network performance and scalability. Assisted different account teams with the maintenance and evaluation of their networks. • Led project to migrate a large customer from a single pair of Checkpoint firewalls to two pairs of Pix firewalls.• Department Inventory Focal. Drove inventory update project, which included moving the inventory from a spreadsheet to a database.• Cross teamed with other IGS Network Services teams as necessary to meet customer needs.

Boulder Campus LAN Team (May 2003 - Nov. 2004)• Responsibilities included installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers and WAPs running various levels of CatOS, IOS and VxWorks.• Led several large wireless installations across the Boulder Campus. Coordinated the upgrade from VxWorks to IOS of the campus wireless network.• Led the installation of new network equipment, using a Network Services approved architecture at a Denver site. This installation upgraded the entire server and user environment at the Denver site.• Team DNS Focal, provided internal customers with static IP addresses, using VitalQIP, when required and provided second level support for DNS issues.• Boulder Focal for the Server Ethernet Migration.• Team Security Focal. • Team Facility Work Requests Focal. • Cross teamed with other Boulder networking teams as necessary to meet customer needs.

Set up a 'victim' network using Macs running Virtual PC, Sun machines running various versions of Solaris, and PCs running several versions of Red Hat Linux. After the network was set up, we were to find, download, compile and run exploits on the victim network to test CIAC's (Computer Incident Advisory Capability) Network Intrusion Detector. A database to store the signatures of the exploits run against the victim network.
