I graduated Georgetown University, and received my MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. I joined IBM in 1983, and ran its global software procurement organization until 1999, overseeing an annual spend of $5 billion. In late 1999, while still at IBM, I established the first LGBT global supplier diversity program in the world, and was appointed its first Director. I was instrumental in the establishment of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and served as a member of its Board of Directors from 2008 to 2017. While on the Board, I served as Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee, as well as Secretary of the Board. In 2008, I received the first “LGBT Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year” Award from the NGLCC, and then became the first recipient of the NGLCC Legacy Award in 2017. In 2003, I also assumed responsibility for IBM’s supplier diversity program coordination across all diversity segments outside the US. From 2010-13, I was a member of the Board of Directors of The Pride Center, the LGBT community center of Greater Fort Lauderdale, and served as Chair of the Development Committee. In 2011, I received the Multicultural Leadership Award from the Florida Diversity Council. I retired from IBM in May, 2012, and became the Executive Director of PYP Foundation, a non-profit organization that focused on improving HIV Awareness, Education and Prevention in young people ages 18-29. In January, 2016, I joined WOSH, as Chief Compliance and Procurement Officer. Headquartered in LA, WOSH is an on-demand, waterless car cleaning service company. My responsibilities at WOSH include B2B Business Development, Compliance, Diversity, Corporate Social Responsibility, Procurement, HR, Corporate Relations, and Governmental Affairs. Most recently, I launched Diversitas, a boutique consulting practice designed to assist diverse-owned businesses (WBE, MBE, LGBTBE) achieve their maximum potential!
