• Managed and maintained the Storage Area Network (SAN) for the Department of Justice – Executive Office of Immigration and Review in Falls Church, Virginia.• SAN Hardware included: (2) HP EVA8100 Storage Arrays, (14) HP/Brocade SAN Switches, (2) FalconStor VTL tape libraries, (2) Quantum i80 Scalar LT05 tape libraries, (2) HP MSL6000 tape libraries, SAN Attached C-Class and P-Class HP Blade Servers, and HP Proliant DL and ML model servers.• Provided third level technical support for complex Storage Area Network (SAN) issues for two DOJ Data Centers.• Proficient in troubleshooting/service of EVA Storage family and Intel based Servers. • Utilized storage products including Brocade, HP-BLADE systems, Emulex and Qlogic HBAs.• Ensured the SAN at these facilities were operating at peak performance.• Performed storage LUN creation and presented created LUNs to Servers.• Expanded LUN size per request.• Provided Server/Storage Connectivity support for Microsoft 2003, Microsoft 2008, VMware 4.0, and RHEL (Linux) 4.0 Servers. • Ensured the current or best supported versions of HBA drivers and firmware were installed in these Servers. • Provided proactive and reactive patch installation.• Resolved Storage connectivity and Storage performance issues. • Used EVA performance tools to insure peak storage performance.• Utilized Brocade performance tools to insure peak SAN switch performance, and FalconStor performance tools to ensure peak virtual library performance.• Reviewed Storage, Switch, and tape library event logs and contacted HP and/or FalconStor when problems are found.• Worked with these vendors to resolve all hardware, configuration, and/or firmware issues.• Submitted weekly EVA Storage Array occupancy reports, Engineering Change Plans when applicable, and Operator Change Plans when applicable.• Consulted on new SAN hardware/infrastructure purchases, and on SAN infrastructure designs.•
