I'm Isaac Arthur, the Host of Science & Futurism with Isaac Arthur, a show looking at space, science, and future technologies for the last 9 years. We're now at 750,00 subscribers on Youtube and more on other video and podcast platforms. Prior to that I received my BS in Physics, top of class at age 20, and went on to grad school in physics at Kent State, leaving to serve in the US Army from 2003-2010.I was recently elected the President of the National Space Society, an organization of thousands of members, foreign and domestic, from space professionals to enthusiastic amateurs and students. The NSS has been championing space development for 4 decades. I previously received the Pioneer Award from the NSS in 2020, an honor given to just over 100 people or groups, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, John Glenn, and NASA JPL. I serve as a frequent guest on many radio shows, podcasts, and youtube channels to discuss science and advocate for space and a techno-optimistic future for humanity.I was appointed by our Secretary of State to the Board of Elections for my area of Ohio, after unanimous bipartisan recommendation, and the BoE oversees the management and conduct of all elections, with a full time staff of 6 and a part-time staff of over 500. I was recently reconfirmed to my 4th 4-year term, and was first elected Chair of the board in 2018.My wife Sarah and I live on our farm in Plymouth, Ohio with our 3 children we recently adopted. Sarah serves in the House of Representative for Ohio since her election in 2020, currently as Vice-Chair of the Education Committee, and previously was elected 3 times to the State Board of Education, where she was first elected in 2012, at age 23. We also co-own/operate a BnB and a house rental, keep bees, and I'm a co-owner of Standard/Nebula, the largest creator-owned streaming service in history, along with several other education-focused channels.
