I work with numerous departments in order to provide day-to-day technical support to the company, manage the product portfolio, and facilitate the new product development process. The responsibilities include:1. Creation and circulation of Technical Mailings in order to communicate new technical/product information to distributors and the sales force2. Creation and modification of technical literature to provide a clear, accurate and standardised library of technical information3. Managing external product approvals (renewal of existing approvals and tracking of expiration dates), for new and existing products4. Provision of technical support in the pursuit of new approvals and external quality management audits associated with product approvals5. Complete annual review of the product portfolio and identification of which lines should be reduced to help streamline the business, improve efficiencies and support the promotion of newer/better products or highlight where gaps may exist leading to new product development opportunities6. Provision of support in the development of new products via initial review of ideas and early-stage market research to assess viability, establish design parameters and key performance criteria and market potential7. Keeping abreast of, and inputting into, live R&D development work at regular R&D meetings8. Facilitating regular inter-departmental communication of on-going developments so that all interested parties are made aware of progress and a release plan can be prepared well in advance9. Planning and coordination of new product launches in collaboration with R&D, Technical and Marketing teams10. Creation of new product literature and other launch media 11. Coordination of new product training sessions for internal personnel 12. Coordination of external field trials to help generate real-world test data for new products13. Proactively gathering feedback on new product applications to enable case histories to be developed
