Isaac has a background in emergency medicine and intensive care nursing. He obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Pediatric Emergency. In the wake of the migrant crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border, he collaborated with medical and humanitarian relief organizations providing patient care services. At the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, he worked as a healthcare provider at a migrant camp in Matamoros, Mexico, with Global Response Management, a medical NGO providing emergency pre-hospital care to those displaced from conflict zones or through migration. As the organization’s official Government Liaison to Mexico, he coordinated the deployment of a field hospital in collaboration with the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Relations and the National Institute for Migration. He worked for the International Rescue Committee as Staff Health Liaison, where he supported the implementation of COVID-19 safety measures and guidelines across RAI offices in the US and Europe. He is a Johnson & Johnson Scholar and a One Young World Ambassador. He is also a Mexican Delegate to the British Council through the Future Leaders Connect program, which promotes young emerging leaders who seek to drive global impact through public policy.Most recently, he obtained an M.Sc. in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science after being selected as a Chevening Scholar.He currently resides in London, where he works as a Research Officer at the Department of Health Policy at the LSE.
