As a digital manufacturing consultant, I have played a crucial role in digital projects: from robotic simulation, ergonomics, and material flow optimization for several companies. My focus has been on implementing the best practices of a digital factory, optimizing production and technical validation. As a result of this work, InterLatin's position as a specialist in digital manufacturing has been strengthened. This has resulted in the opening of new opportunities and the success of projects with OEM's such as Volkswagen Group.

As a key contact between Mexico and Germany, I led the initial management of uploading information from the robotic cells to the shop floor, previously verified in digital factory in a welding project for Volkswagen. However, we faced significant challenges: the digital data provided by the customer for some cells did not match the actual parameters, and there were discrepancies in the simulation between the welding sequence analysis and the product/process definition. To resolve this situation, I initiated a change request that was approved through a bilateral agreement. This action reduced the risk of the plan, allowing to deliver the lines within the agreed deadline.

In recognition of the growing demand for new projects, a project office was established to effectively manage this increased workload. This initiative resulted in a significant improvement in the flow and management of information across all stakeholders. As a direct benefit, a notable reduction in response time to unplanned events was achieved (50% on average). For example, a lesson learned strategy was formed to reduce rework during launching, which resulted in a 70% reduction in the need for emergency programs, all in accordance with PMBOK® guidelines.

During my residence in Spain, I accepted the challenge of validating digital information at the final engineering level of the robotic cells for the client. Initially, a 2 month deadline was projected for this task. Faced with the need to speed up this process, I led a restructuring of the delivery procedures. We identified that the information lacked cohesion due to the lack of timely updates, thanks to this initiative, we were able to reduce the delivery time of the documentation to the client, 30 days ahead of the originally estimated deadline.

I was involved in the design of devices and cell simulation for Volkswagen Group and Airbus, achieving in 3 years of work the responsibility of coordinating turnkey projects.

To decrease the rate of corrective work, an autonomous technical maintenance procedure was structured for the operators under the specifications developed by the maintenance team, and training was coordinated to provide maintenance-cleaning tasks. This contributed to extending the useful life of the machines by 50%. At the same time, a stochastic analysis of breakdowns/failures was determined by historical records of the machines, and a reduction of 80% in corrective work was achieved.
