My focus is real estate deals, acquiring land for protection, transferring land to conservation partners, and assisting partners in their own acquisitions. I enjoy negotiating with landowners, project managing, generating and interpreting legal instruments, contracting, conducting due diligence, and leveraging GIS. I am excited to build experience in securing public & private funding, conservation finance, strategic planning, and more.

Supported the Transactions, Stewardship, and Forest Conservation teams on a huge variety of projects including real estate due diligence, a portfolio of leases, property tax optimization, GIS mapping, maintaining land trust accreditation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, as well as internal and external communications. Key contributor on a +20,000-acre carbon offset project in the Olympic Rainforest.

Responsible for planning entitlements, ordinance drafting and interpretation, annexations, feasibility studies, and technical writing. Reviewed permit applications, coordinated with agencies, drafted and presented defensible staff reports as an on-call planner for Mendocino and Humboldt County planning departments. Created and finalized Resource Management Plans for county governments, covering topics such as agriculture, land use, hydrology, and economic development. Reported federal water rights data to the California State Water Resources Control Board. Surveyed points of water diversion on federal lands of the Los Padres National Forest, measured flow rate and determined local usage.
