The Battle Staff Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Course, educates Staff Sergeants (E-6) through Sergeants Major (E-9) to serve as Battle Staff NCOs at battalion and higher level staff positions. Battle Staff provides selected NCOs with the tools necessary to learn specific staff duties and become familiar with the duties of other staff sections. The Battle Staff NCO Course provides technical and tactical curriculum relevant to the missions, duties, responsibilities assigned to Battle Staff members in Battalion and Brigade-Level units.

Operations Sergeant for a Chemical Battalion consisting of multiple companies over three states. Participate in planning and implantation of National Defense initiatives. Provide supervision and guidance, manage personnel and funding resources, receive and distribute Taskings, and maintain an inspection program which ensures compliance of various governing regulations across all levels of staff functions.

Ensured regulatory compliance with applicable Army doctrine by maintaining annual instructor certifications and HAZMAT qualifications for 21 assigned instructors. Regularly participated in planning committees aimed to capture budgetary resources, man hours, and student quota management. Occasionally participated in special planning committees with the intent of revising and updating Army Training Doctrine, and personally instructed and certified 32 Soldiers in Career Management Field 74D (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Weapons Specialists).

Over see the daily operations of the company, Project and plan future training objectives, Ensure progression of unit readiness by managing proper levels of training, man power, and equipment readiness, Coordinate with local departmental agencies in need of federal support for disaster relief, ensure adherence to applicable OSHA standards for HAZMAT workers, and coordinate for the mitigation and disposal of HAZMAT.
