I truly believe each human being is doing their best with what they know. As a result, when we experience suffering, it can feel like even our best isn't enough to avoid tragedy. My work seeks to improve the lives of those experiencing suffering -- whether it be from mental illness, grief, insecurity, loneliness, addiction, or anything else -- and how we can transform their suffering into purpose. I have built my therapeutic skills through experience in many settings, from counseling domestic violence victims to providing therapy in an LGBTQ-focused rehab. I use a client-centered approach, evaluating the internal and external worlds of my clients to help them create long-lasting change for themselves. My approach incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Anti-Oppressive therapy frameworks.
