Isaac specializes in creating beautiful, water-conserving parks and habitat restoration projects. He is a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of California and holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from UC Berkeley, where he developed strategies for harnessing grading and stormwater to create habitat for human and biotic communities in an increasingly hot, arid climate. He excels at combining native plant palettes with elegant site design and leading-edge irrigation technology to build ecologically-robust cultural landscapes. Isaac applies his strengths in hand drawing and digital rendering, water-conserving planting and irrigation design, park design, and construction documentation to civic, office, residential, and habitat creation projects.Isaac’s work engages every step of the design process from conceptual design through construction administration, and ranges from small-scale interpretive signs to ranch-scale irrigation and mitigation bank design. Habitats he specializes in designing include freshwater and tidal wetlands, woodlands, riparian areas, and coastal sand dunes. Accordingly, he prepares construction documents that emphasize California native plants and the provision of adequate irrigation for successful plant establishment.
