When you have free time, why not use it to make something you can be proud of?

During my time working here as a data analyst and visualizer under the direct command of the acting S1 for my National Service, I have:Generated over 50 manpower data visuals using collated annual data in direct partnership with my S1 for the creation, presentation, and distribution of the Annual Army HR Conference (AHRC) report for FY2020. Created a master data list which automatically updates preset visuals for the FY2021 report, reducing the man-hours and manpower required for updates by >50%, or more than 200 hours.Tracked and managed multiple datasets containing over 50,000 Regular servicemen across Army, Navy, and Air force for the purposes of spotting and following manpower trends for Recruitment, Attrition, and manpower allocation matters.Gained proficiency in the use of PowerBI before creating an interactive collated visual dashboard displaying curated manpower analytics data. Said data was utilised by division heads across all Army vocations to make strategic planning decisions and has become part of quarterly SOP's.Liaised with then acting Assistant Chief of General Staff (Pers) in discussion of new SOP's for Officer Specialisation and training strategies in order to bridge the gap in technical knowledge and expertise between generalist Officer and specialist Military Domain Expert Scheme (MDES) tracks.Planned and hosted two quarterly Officer Cadet crossover boards attended by over 10 SLTC+ ranked officers for the purposes of screening and vetting aspiring Specialists aiming to make the jump to serve under the Officer scheme. Also conducted analysis on accreditation amongst other factors in relation to resulting performance of successful candidates, generating interesting findings.

This is my 6 month Industry Attachment Programme with artcommune gallery for my final semester as part of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I have enjoyed the experience as much as I have learned and benefitted from it through the various projects I was involved in.

After my O'level studies, I decided to work in the F&B industry for a few months with a few objectives in mind. The first was to learn how to properly cut, prepare, and grill steak, which I learned under the Sembawang Astons head chef at the time. The second was to develop understanding and afterwards empathy for servers within the F&B industry, which I have learned over time as I worked there.The third and final objective was to learn where to source cheap and high quality wholesale foods there, as well as understand what prepared foods would be healthier than others amongst different steakhouses.
