• Prepares a monthly Variance Report, a report that contains detailed listings of all departments budget compared to actual expenditures(Variance) for the General fund and Detention Fund (Variance Report is viewed by Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors)• Maintains open and professional communication with all County departments at various levels and external stakeholders• Supports the daily activities of the department, which include various aspects of internal and external financial reporting as well as general accounting and reconciliation functions• Prepares Cash Receipts and enters monthly tax revenue into the county’s financial system• Prepares Journal Vouchers to process scheduled monthly budget transfers, from one fund to another • Ensures that County departments’ general accounting needs are met and that their financial transactions are properly recorded, reviewed, and approved.
