Epic Inpatient Orders certified.Currently employed at the largest non-profit health system in Texas, comprised of 8 full-service hospitals in it's central region, that encompasses a network of primary and specialty care providers and services. The central region is currently undergoing a large-scale Epic EMR implementation. I am working to interface Epic to the laboratory information system, Softlab and third party pathology system (Powerpath), through mapping and configuration of procedure (EAP)/category (EDP) records. Performing mapped record testing of procedures and component (LRR) records through the interface and working closely with the Bridges interface team as well as laboratory subject matter experts to troubleshoot functional testing issues. I have configured category lists for abnormal flags, cancellation reasons, and priorities. Also have configured antibiotics category list and microorganism (LLO) master file and participating in testing for discrete microbiology resulting. Other responsibilities included developing the future state workflow and configurations related to point of care testing and blood administration within Epic, helping build and configure blood administration order sets. I have also developed rules in order transmittal (OTX) for the project. I am experienced with data couriering configurations from build environments to production environments depending on master file requirements. As part of the implementation process, I have extensive experience working in collaboration with subject matter experts within the hospitals, leading discussions to validate future workflows and finally demonstrating these workflows to the end users after build has been completed. As a part of the Inpatient Orders team, I work very closely with physicians to optimize their workflows within the EMR. Analyzing and trouble shooting live production provider issues is a daily part of my core duties.
