Subject matter expertise involved drug-induced liver injury and it’s impact on immunity. Acetaminophen overdose studies determined that invariant natural killer T cells down-regulate antioxidant levels to respectfully promote oxidative/nitrosative stress and liver damage. Additional studies include death receptor signaling pathways, involving Fas/FasL, that regulate reactive stress and innate immune. Directly responsible for laboratory management. Taught medical physiology course for three years, and received the 2011 Outstanding LSU Teachers Award. Assisted with recruitment seminars, selection of graduate student candidates, decisions in graduate student committees, and organization of research conferences.

Lead in vitro diagnostics processing of over three thousand specimens per night. Job duties include subject data analysis, quality control/calibrations, and reagent preparation/reconstitution.
