Isaac Njenge is a Development Finance Specialist with diverse experience acquired over 20 years. He has acquired skills in leadership, strategy formulation, financial management and administration, risk management, governance, enterprise development solutions, development finance, supplier diversity, development policy design, corporate social investment (CSI), monitoring and evaluation, and linkages as a solution to sustainable development. He has run projects across the African continent, including South Africa, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.10 years of his experience was acquired through heading a consulting firm, Clear Cut Solutions, based in South Africa. He managed a team of 10 full time Enterprise Development and Finance Specialists, and a number of external consultants. His contribution included concept development, strategy formulation and implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as reporting. He serviced several enterprise development initiatives that included expansion capital raising, business development, research, training, as well as mentorship and coaching. He also facilitated access to government incentive and empowerment schemes such as the Manufacturing Competitiveness Enhancement Programme (MCEP), Black Business Supplier Development Programme (BBSDP) and Black Industrialist Scheme (BIS). His achievements with Clear Cut Solutions include the following: ZAR800 million investment funding for 500 SMEs in South Africa - achieved through leveraging Government funding provided through inventive schemes and private capital. Cooperative Banks Development Agency CFI Support -Provided mentorship and coaching to 5 Cooperative Financial Institutions with a combined asset value of ZAR25 million and a total of 75 board members. The mentorship programme included providing training to the Board and Board Committees on Strategy Formulation, Policy Development, Supervision, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Governance and Ethics and Financial Management. One of the CFIs, Ziphakamise Co-op Bank, was successfully registered as a Co-operative Bank as a result of the intervention. DAI - PIND Partnership Nigeria: DAI assisted the Chevron Corporation with the strategic design of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), a Nigerian-registered foundation, conceptualizing a strategy for its economic development program, specifically orienting its activities around a market systems approach and developing monitoring and evaluating mechanisms to document their impact.
