The work of Chicago-based writer Isaac Perry has appeared in publications such as XXL, Vibe, Jordan Magazine, and NBA Inside Stuff since 1998. In 2007, as the author of the novel ALL FALLS DOWN and the host of the Nike original film LACED, Isaac has added his distinctive voice to the emerging genre of Neo-Lit and the already established global phenomenon of basketball and hip-hop culture.A graduate of Georgia State University, Isaac holds a BA in journalism and has worked as a professional writer for nearly ten years. In 1999 he founded Paradox Media and took the newly formed Hoopstv.com on as a client, writing a weekly column entitled “Game Recognizes Game”. From 2001 to 2006 Isaac was Editor-at-Large for the basketball culture and lifestyle magazine Dime. In the last decade Isaac has written in-depth stories about ballplayers like Kobe Bryant, Amare Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony, Gilbert Arenas, and Allen Iverson. During the summer of 2006 he wrote a weekly column for Nike.com’s Asia Pacific realm that explored the life and career of Cleveland Cavaliers superstar forward LeBron James. Isaac has written and edited content that covers a diverse range of urban media—including interviews and encounters with stars like Ludacris, the Game, R. Kelly, Jermaine Dupree, and Alicia Keys—to sports-based media like Slam, Inside Stuff, and ESPN.In 2005 Isaac authored the book What Will It Take?, Nike’s in-depth look into the soul of summer basketball. Recently, 81—Isaac’s account of Kobe Bryant’s historic 81-point game—was published by Nike in a limited hardcover edition.In 2009 Isaac completed All Falls Down, an intriguing, fast-paced, seductive novel that joins the incredible new genre of fiction called Neo-Lit.
