My whole life, I loved money. I cared less about how much I made and more that I allocated it wisely. By age six, I saved more money than I spent each year. I even structured my Halloween candy hauls to last upwards of nine months. While friends rolled their eyes at my hesitance to spend, I enjoyed my frugality.I’m currently validating my early financial interest by studying economics at Utah State University and working full-time as an accounting clerk. I’m gaining valuable entry-level experience at the same time as learning complex, higher-level skills. Now, as a full-time employee and student, my love for making smart financial decisions serves me and my employer well. It correlates with my affinity for math, critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills. I’m a quick study as my grades demonstrate. I’m hard-working as my work/school balance shows. Perhaps most importantly, I’m determined to perform exceptionally well. My coworkers compliment my communication skills, and I enjoy collaborating with others. I also work efficiently on independent work, while understanding firm-wide goals.I’m looking for entry or secondary-level experience in accounting. I’m considering pursuing a CPA license, so my sights are on positions/internships at CPA firms, preferably with opportunities for advancement. I’m also willing to explore other financial industry options like advising, wealth management, or corporate accounting. I expect to graduate with my bachelor of science in economics in May of 2025, ready to hit the ground running.
