Recruited by Select Crane Sales, a multi-national heavy equipment sales and rental company, to optimize existing operations and to design/launch the Business Development functionality for newly created subdivisions in South Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean.  Spearhead e-commerce/online marketing campaigns and develop strategic partnerships with international agencies to increase sales of heavy equipment for large-scale civil and industrial construction projects.

Taught courses in International Trade Operations Management, Business Policy & Strategy, Logistics Management & International Finance at the STU School of Business at St. Thomas University from 2004 to 2010 and served as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach from 2003 - 2004

Hired to drive sales and to oversee operations for newly created divisions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Opened new territories and built strategic partnerships with local vendors and agencies to drive rentals and sales of heavy equipment, forklifts, earth-moving equipment, and cranes.  Spearheaded Program Development, Sales & Marketing and Logistical Operations to facilitate growth.  Grew region from inception ($0 in annual sales) to $10M in Colombia, $4M in Chile, $4M in Mexico, $1M in Peru, $800K in Argentina and $500k in Ecuador. Negotiated mutually beneficial joint ventures/partnerships to open full-blown agencies, distributors, service departments and crane dealerships.  Served as Director of Paramount Gruas S.A., a company started in the Caribbean, Chile and Argentina to act as official distributor of Link-Belt Cranes. Opened/managed a parts department in Miami, FL; hired independent contractors and grew the department to $1.2M in spare parts per year. Implemented new rent-to-purchase and buy-back financing options which facilitated $5M in direct profit over the course of 7 years with the company.  Achieved a client portfolio of 300 new clients in Construction, Mining, Erection, and Civil engineering.

Opened Markets for the largest Caterpillar dealer in the world and increased the company’s international presence in Latin America. Opened locations in Mexico & Colombia.  Increased sales from $0 in 2005 to $1 million in 2006, $7 million in 2007, $10 million in 2008, and $4 million in 2009.  Recuperated sales in Chile in 2009 by closing with $3 million in sales by ensuring the highest level of customer service practices during the sale process and post-sale period.
