I practice in the area of administrative law and civil litigation, with an emphasis on land use planning and development, municipal law and expropriation in the Greater Toronto Area.On the public sector side, I represent municipalities of all sizes on a broad range of planning policy and land use development matters, including complex five-year official plan reviews and Growth Plan conformity exercises. I also represent municipalities on site specific appeals by private landowners where the development approvals sought are contrary to the municipality's interests.On the private sector side, I regularly represent developers and private landowners on a broad range of development applications and land acquisition disputes. My work includes advising landowners at all stages of the development application process, negotiating settlements with approval authorities and representing clients at Committees of Adjustment, the Ontario Municipal Board, Superior Court and Divisional Court.A smaller part of my practice focuses on representing clients in civil litigation matters involving real estate disputes and professional liability insurance.
