- Provide individual psychotherapy primarily to those suffering with moderate to severe substance-abuse/dependency and associated trauma, behavioral problems, and familial/relational dysfunctions. - Provide group therapy with a focus on substance abuse recovery, overcoming personal obstacles, life-skills, relational boundaries, functional relationships, and recreational healing.

- Provide in-home psychotherapy for a wide range of culturally diverse clients with presenting problems ranging from anxiety, depression and mood disorders. Primary focus is on Child & Adolescent ADHD, Intensive Behavioral Issues, and Effective Parenting Skills.

- Provide individual psychotherapy primarily to the male population suffering with moderate to severe substance-abuse/dependency and associated trauma, behavioral problems, and familial/relational dysfunctions. - Provide group therapy with a focus on substance abuse recovery, overcoming personal obstacles, life-skills, relational boundaries, and recreational healing.

- Provided psychotherapy to a wide variety of diverse client populations with presenting problems ranging from depression, anxiety, and substance-abuse dependency to familial and marital dysfunction. Primary focus is on Marriage, Couple, and Familial Dysfunctions. - Provided group therapy with a focus on substance-abuse dependency, healthy relationships, life skills, and recreational healing.- Assisted Clinical Director with administrative, operational, and clinical tasks as needed. - Assisted in the creation of Medytox Medical Mime EMR system.

- Provide comprehensive individual, family, couples, and group therapy to individuals (children & adults) suffering from mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. - Perform initial psychiatric evaluations of individuals entering the outpatient clinic and coordinating clinical treatment plans with an emphasis on immediate discharge goals. - Conduct monthly peer reviews to assure quality compliance of therapist documentation with company and Medicaid standards. - Assist clients to achieve and maintain social, emotional, and mental stability by identifying placement needs and support linking resources. - Train incoming interns on all documentation processes and protocols. - Facilitated 19 hours of Group Therapy weekly.

- Provide psychiatric rehabilitation skills training to clients served. - Work with family members, extended family members, and other service providers involved with the client. - Participate in community based activities to teach the client hands-on life/social skills. - Follow the client's treatment plan to reach the goals set for the client. - Maintain progress notes on daily activities with the client and complete monthly progress summaries. - Complete psychiatric reviews as necessary

- Provide fitness, wellness, nutritional, and motivational counsel to 100+ individual clients using cognitive, behavioral, motivational interview, and solution-focused techniques to help to correct negative views of self-concept, and establish productive coping methods concerning weight loss & nutrition.- Run an ongoing motivational support group to keep clients on track and accountable to reach fitness goals.- Supervise workouts correcting posture, technique, and provided ongoing motivation.- Provide guidance concerning workout induced pain management, and referred to professionals when necessary.

- Perform face-to-face preliminary psychiatric assessment of individuals entering the mental health facility.- Exercise clinical judgment in psychiatric crisis situations, and patient & family conflict situations. - Provide crisis intervention by telephone as needed and respond to calls for psychiatric information and assistance.- Assist individuals to obtain services not provided by the Access Center by linking them to other programs within LIfestream Behavioral or Lifestream's array of referring services. - Interact with individuals, courts, other agencies, and law enforcement to effectively plan for treatment of the client. - Document all contacts and evaluations using established methods and protocols.

- Assisted Clinicians with: Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, Couples/Family Therapy, Intake Assessment and Referral, Psychosocial Assessments, Psychometric Testing, Recreation Therapy, Case Management, and File and Chart Reviews

- I was assigned to a Juvenile Sex Offender group for the entirety of the internship and I assisted Clinicians with the following: Juvenile Psychometric Testing, Intake Assessment & Observation, Group Therapy, Case Management (including law services with Parole Officers, Probation Officers, and Respective Group Leaders), Individual Therapy, Sex Offender Therapy (Male Sex Abuse Treatment), Journal therapy sessions, Drug and Alcohol Addiction therapy, and taught life skills classes on Leadership, Vocational Pursuits, Interpersonal Communication.
