IDenteq provide fraud prevention technologies for utilities (water, energy). My role was to implementautomated ETL services for data management of property databases for registered utilities, with checks for data quality, record filtering and formatting with ingestion to downstream systems. Delivered 5 projects using Python scripting, AWS Lambda and Cloud Formation stacks.

Design and delivery of an automated diagnostic web service for GPS systems. The service optimisations I implemented allowed for a 2% reduction in package pricing whilst delivering the services to the same high-level of reliability and accuracy. The services implemented are used for monitoring earth movement, with data measurements collected via bespoke embedded sensor systems (seismic activity detection). The seismic activity monitoring is targeted at long-haul and short-haul transportation scenarios (trains, trams and highway vehicles etc …) with measurements of, for example, rail-line movement.

Employed as a developer to aid with the development and maintenance of a Hospitality Project Management and Central Reservation System used for reservations and bookings. Deployed within a small team to deliver API middleware that consumes data (JSON) from the primary, centralised backend systemfor delivery to multi-site locations (hotels, restaurant etc …).

Enrolled in the globally recognised firm for international technology consultants.

Employed to support software migration from the company’s JavaScript product to Xamarin. Achieved delivery and implementation of a parcel order and consignment service as part of a team.

During my MEng I was employed by Texas Instruments during my intercalated year. I was employed in a team to provide technical support to academic institutions and researchers across the EMEA Region. The role required research for products held within the company’s product portfolio. The research required application of electronics domain knowledge with cross-product matching to recommend suitable solutions.Product research items included; Analog Signal Chain, Power Management, Embedded Systems and Wireless Connectivity. Day-to-day activities involved responding to customer queries, requirements gathering, product research, and interaction with industry specific application engineers to aid with solution design and recommendations This role gave me the insight ino the role of a mediator between engineering and business management processes.
