As a Senior Art Director, I execute the design of printed mailings for more than 25 colleges and universities across the country. I'm responsible for ensuring best strategic marketing and results, producing effective direct marketing materials and communications. I collaborate with web designers and copywriters to effectively help our partners reach their goals in growing their institution, shaping and fulfilling their freshmen class. In addition, I assist in reviewing my colleagues' direct marketing materials to ensure the quality and strategy of our work. I provide constructive feedback on design and copy to strengthen our paper direct marketing strategy.

• Managed and designed print publications and special advertorial sections for the Prepress Design Department. Responsibilities included developing initial design concepts for each publication, coordinating freelance assignments and stories, designing each section, and preparing files for output. Notable publications included Celebrations (Sunday’s celebratory special section), Brick Weekly (a local entertainment weekly), Inspiring Space (a monthly interior design magazine) and The Dining Guide (a food & dining advertorial).• Developed print advertisements for a diverse range of clients from dining establishments to automotive companies, on a daily basis. Collaborated closely with sales representatives and copywriters to ensure that each ad effectively communicated the client’s message and goals. • Coordinated Popmount and reprint production sales and design by developing order sizes, handling ongoing communication with the vendor, troubleshooting any customer issues and designing sales material.

• Managed the creative production of James Madison University’s award-winning 450-page yearbook and supervised a team of four assistant designers.• Developed and designed the theme and concept for the covers, endsheets, section dividers, index, and features section, while also assisting with the sports, classes, and organizations sections.• Mentored and provided constructive feedback to my team of designers as they developed their assigned sections of the yearbook. This involved guiding them through the design process, helping them refine their concepts, and ensuring their work aligned with the overall vision of the yearbook.
