Used Python and MATLAB to create an algorithm for respiratory motion correction to aid lung imaging, which required great attention to detail. Used MATLAB to fit data to calculate magnetization decay constants T1 and T2* of lungs, liver, kidneys, and muscle, as well as identifying where data deviated from expected pattern and suggesting alternative trend. Took measurements of phantoms and volunteers and solved problems at an Upright 0.5T scanner as part of a team of postdoctoral researchers. Respectful and tactful towards volunteers when sensitive issues arose. Created a variety of visual/graphical representations to summarise my findings, and presented these to and discussed my progress with senior researchers in staff meetings. Documented and communicated my code, measurements, and analysis so they could be used after my placement. Presented poster to researchers from other disciplines at symposium. Co-authored abstract submitted to International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine Annual Conference.

Welcomed visitors to the historical attraction. Worked at the gift shop and collected donations. Co-ran events such as birthday parties, and public (children) and private (MENCAP) baking sessions. This involved setting up, supporting the participants, baking their creations and bagging them up, and cleaning up after the event.

Organised and restocked shop floor to keep it attractive and easy to navigate. Executed sale events: marking down items and displaying and removing promotional signage. Followed protocols and resolved problems involving returns, selling restricted items, and managing customer numbers and other pandemic safety measures.
