Dr. De La Torre is originally from Mexico, City where she attended Medical School at Universidad La Salle, completing Ophthalmology Training.She has been in private practice since 1980. She relocated to Laredo, TX in 1982, as a partner with a Real Estate company and became the General Manager. She has hold this position overseeing all operations until now. In 1983, she established her private practice with her husband Dr. Ramon De La Torre in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and initiated operations of a Geriatric Clinic and an Full Optical Business. Due to the important growth of the latter as well as to the Mexican Market demands, Dr. Isabel De La Torre incorporated her Optical Business and started distribution of specialty contact lenses and products. At this time, she still continues a smaller distribution of optical products. In 2010, she opened an Optical Enterprise in Laredo, TX, which has been growing successfully in the area and in 2022 it was incorporated into Dr. Ramon De La Torre Medical Spa which became a full Medical Practice and Spa in 2022: DLT Family Medicine and Aesthetics.She has two sons, Ramon De La Torre MD practicing in Laredo and Alberto G. De La Torre JD practicing in Austin.
