ALMA is many things: *a wearable biosensor to monitor vaginal fluids, *a co-creation workshop to engage females in the development of Alma but also *a project that wants to understand education's gaps and social stigma around bodies and intimate care.As medical anthropologist, I support ALMA team and co-founder Giulia Tomasello with user research and qualitative analysis in order to understand females journeys of their intimate care and embrace the fight against social stigma.

Inside the bodies is a creative narrative medicine project, a set of 7 monthly laboratories that explore gender health and gender medicine starting from people experiences and narratives. Each laboratory explores different topics, from gynaecological diseases, menstrual cycle, anxiety, caregiving, gender health. The aim is to bring people together and allow them to re-appropriate of their own narrative and experience, giving voice to their bodies.

I have been called as consultant for the annual participatory workshop MinD (Mad in Design) organised by CEUR Foundation and Blu Acqua srl: during four intensive days students from different disciplines and schools (design, psychology, anthropology, education) work with psychiatric user, under the guidance of a professional designer, to a specific object and its meaning for psychiatric communities and residencies. My role was to lead a group of students in ethnographic observation and interviews, and analyse data in order to deliver a final evaluation report about the outcomes of the workshop, to inform sponsors about potential impact of MinD.

DEAR is an incubator of multidisciplinary projects - from design to visual arts to digital - based on active teaching, able to balance the technical and manual components with the playful one.Active in the Robo & Bobo project at the pediatric Oncohaematology department of the Regina Margherita Children´s Hospital (TO) whose activities aim is to give value to the IT tool to train young hospitalized people on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) in a stimulating and playful way. In this way children become active builders of their own path of knowledge, oriented towards the pursuit of a growing reflection, awareness and self-assessment of their cognitive processes.Specifically, I deal with ethnographic research to frame the dynamics in the dimension of illness and care with a focus on design and medical anthropology as regards the relationships between children and laboratories.

As medical anthropologist consultant for DEAR, I played the role of Research Lead in the collaboration between Softcare studios and DEAR to experiment TOMMI with children aged 7-13 at the Oncoematologist department of Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin. I have coordinated a group of 5 interns from the University of Turin, trained them about ethnographic methods, and reported the main outcomes of the experience of children while playing with TOMMI during their stay at the Hospital.

Fondazione per l'Architettura, DEAR Onlus, Neonatal Intensive Care of Sant'Anna Hospital, Piccoli Passi Onlus, Fondazione Medicina a Misura di Donna Onlus and NextAtlas worked together in the project SPAZI NEONATI (Newborn spaces): an interior design workshop in which 24 architects are called to develop a concept for some spaces of the neonatal intensive care of Sant'Anna Hospital. The major aim is to work on the humanization of spaces for the wellbeing of the people living the yard.
