Research Assistant to Senior Lecturer in Sociolinguistics at Newcastle University.This role involved the marketing of the play ‘From You to Me’, based on older Tynsider’s language use, and liaising with older adults and charities attending the play. After the performances of the play, the role involved me conducting telephone post-show surveys and the inputting of quantitative data onto excel for analysis. Following on from the play, the role involved fieldwork, whereby I went out into the Tyneside community, representing the University, and conducted interviews with older adults about their experiences growing up in and around Newcastle.
