Responsible for all internal and external fundraising and communications for this growing charity. Working closely but not solely with INTO University Partnerships to increase fundraising streams from students, staff, and stakeholders. Alongside target driven fundraising with teams across the globe, I am responsible for annual recruitment, and management of international student interns, for placements in Brighton, London and San Francisco. Strategically we hope to increase external fundraising and support from individual donors and other non-profit groups, as well as establishing CSR partnerships with national and international companies. This role took me out of the Charity Sector - I made this decision after relocating to Hove in July 2013, as I was keen to take a job to cover my financial needs whilst looking for a role I desired in a non profit organisation. Selling magazine advertising and events to sponsors both over the phone, online, and face to face.Successfully networking with clients, PR agencies, and industry heads, I ensured that I sold successful campaigns that fitted with the publication.This role nurtured my networking and relationship building skills, whilst also building on my confidence to negotiate and manage budgets.This role was intended to be short term and I gave notice to pursue my passion for Charity work.

This post was originally a fixed term 12 month post, extended by a further 3 months. The CEO was seeking further funding with scope for the project to be extended for another year due to its proven success.I had Sole responsibility for coordinating the Getting Carers Connected Project, a project to help carers learn how to use the internet to reduce feelings of social isolation, and save precious time. I was shortlisted nationally for a TalkTalk Digital Heroes Award, and the project appeared in The Times Newspaper.Recruiting and managing a team of over 50 volunteers on a project that reached over 80 carers and their families.Reporting to the CEO and trustees on the growth and development of the project. Managing the project budget and reporting to the CEO and funders on spends. Organising and coordinating various fundraising and publicity events, including managing charity balls, dinner, corporate events, and a full week’s diary of events during Carers Week 2013.Networking successfully with external parties including those at a very senior level; Building relationships with various MPs to promote the project and the charity. Press liaison, both locally and nationally.Designing, copy-writing and liaising with print companies to produce leaflets, posters and other printed material, and helping to update the website.Managing social networking, including Skype and Facebook, and researching new and innovative ways of promoting the charity.Opening new Carers' Cafés across Hertfordshire through negotiation with local businesses for venues and funding.Writing successful funding bids.Collating and producing qualitative and quantitative feedback from carers and volunteers to prove further the success of achieving the intended outcomes of this very successful project.This film explains the project and it's work further.

Responsible for selling and campaign management of cross platform campaigns across the News International portfolio – The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun, The News of the World and thelondonpaper. Tasked with managing the success of the project from idea generation, the pitch, client, editorial and agency liaison, print production, completion and feedback, whilst developing relationships with agencies and clients to ensure future campaigns.Clients from across travel, fashion and beauty, FMCG, green, food and drink, charity, financial and entertainment, including John Lewis, Estée Lauder and British Airways.Responsible for exceptional reaction to creative briefs, concept initiation, idea development and presentations.Selling, and negotiating with West End Media Agencies, PR and client directWorking closely with editorial and the agencies to ensure the campaign was produced as sold.
