I am an extremely competent project manager, with experience in many different fields, that include rural development and community participation programmes, urban economic and local municipal planning projects, marketing projects, IT projects, general business development and process enhancement projects. I have used these skills for the past 25 odd years and am very efficient in dealing with project planning, implementation and change management issues. I hold a post graduate certificate in Leadership from the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business and have great people and team building skills.For the past 7 years I have been co-managing the Hwange Schools Project. What started out as assisting one school in stocking a classroom to become a library, has grown into an interactive programme supporting 14 rural schools in the Mlevu district. We aim to support the teachers where possible with annual training workshops, and physical support such as text and reading books, stationery, sewing machines and supplies, competition prizes and clothing. Our NPO is small, but effective in providing much needed support in very trying times. I have recently also taken on a Directorship at The SABBA Movement for Change - NPC. We aim to empower unemployed and illiterate people living in extreme poverty to grow their own food gardens and set up small scale poultry businesses. We focus on self sustainability, food security, a regular income and dignity for each of our project participants. We are currently expanding our programme into the Western and Northern Cape areas. I am also collaborating with Strategic Options - an established consulting company focusing on strategic planning and facilitated execution in the SMME and NPO sector. Our aim is to professionalize small businesses and NPO's to gear them up for sustainability and growth.
