The more I have delved into the intricacies of ocean life, the more apparent it became that the very system sustaining these wonders was under threat. I have worked with different marine systems throughout my undergraduate and graduate years, both in Spain and Norway, which range from seagrass beds in the Mediterranean Sea to arctic fjord systems. On all these occasions I have gained a lot of knowledge about the functioning of marine ecosystems, and now I aim to bridge the gap between scientific understanding and actionable conservation measures. I aspire to contribute to a body of knowledge that empowers policymakers, conservationists, and society at large to make informed decisions that will safeguard the oceans for future generations.
