I worked with high-complexity molecular diagnostics PCR assays that included Covid/Flu/RSV (single and multiplex), and both PGX and UTI using open-array chips. Along with reporting production inefficiencies and suggesting process improvements in lab operations.

I was responsible for overseeing the design, modifications, organization, and support of the symbio6™ computer software system while working with technical programmers to design, test, and maintain symbio6™ software to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

Organized and managed the inventory for multiple labs while also being the main point of contact for lab operation questions. I performed liquid-liquid extractions using approved methods and set up injection sequences on the LC-MS/MS for appropriate methods. Prepared and reviewed standards and controls to determine batch acceptance following the lab’s quality control procedures. Daily maintenance was performed on the instruments and troubleshooting when necessary. I also analyzed, reviewed, and interpreted test results for analytical integrity.

I provided oversight to specimen processing to ensure quality and proficiency. Received and delegated samples to the appropriate lab based on insurance information. I was able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations and with problems where only limited information or standardization existed. Performed sample testing and result review on moderate complex tests along with running calibrations and QCs. I also maintained the chemical analyzer and performed troubleshooting when necessary.
