Currently at Johns Hopkins as a Research Specialist II with the Clinical Pharmacology Analytical Lab. Heading the Pharmacogenomics branch of CPAL, two tests are currently available for analysis: our Actionable Pharmacogenomics Panel, which spans 11 genes and 39 actionable SNPs, and our TPMT/NUDT15 standalone test, which covers metabolic genotypes for thiopurines. The PGx lab is currently servicing all of Johns Hopkins Hospital and its affiliates, but hopes to expand in the near future to non-Hopkins patients and providers. I also perform clinical studies for antiretrovirals in HIV/AIDS prevention and maintenance. Molecular techniques include RT-qPCR for genotyping and copy number variations, and testing for infectious diseases via multiplex PCR. Biochemical techniques concentrated on metabolite quantitation with HPLC Tandem Mass Spectrometry. Experienced Researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the medicine industry. Spent 2021-2023 with the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at the University of Kentucky in the Blackburn lab. Analyses performed in the lab: danio rerio and human samples, and various cell lines to investigate pediatric leukemias and gliomas. Animal husbandry and cell culture experience. Drug discovery, screening, and thermokinetics of proteins targeting upregulated genes involved in cancer metastasis and progression.
